Throughout scripture, men and women of faith often built altars to worship God, commemorate significant holy encounters, and remind future generations of His mighty works.
We are following their lead as we build an altar for peace in Washington DC on October 11th at one of our nation's historic altars of pain, power, and promise. As Christians, we are a spiritual house being built together as living stones from all nations. But our walls are broken and the house is crumbling. To mend the gaps, we need a truth and reconciliation movement. Stand in the gap with us as we raise a wailing wall on the mall in silent prayer before God, public witness before men, and humility at the table with others.
